Arthur Golden said, “Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are.”In each of our lives we all have traveled through the tunnels of despair, tragedy, and challenge.
We have asked ourselves “Why did this happen to me?”, even though we have never asked that same question in moments of joy. We get stuck, we get weighed down, failing to see the light at the end of that long dark tunnel.
In the face of adversity, what do you choose?
Do you wander lost, not knowing the next step to take, the next path to choose, or to you look adversity in the face and take back your power as you decide to grown, to learn, to fight…to survive?
This was a very powerful show. My guest Best Seller Author, Debra Shiveley Welch share her own personal examples of overcoming the adversity in her life.
When face with adversity:
- Remember to continue to take care of yourself
- Be determined and persistent, you will get through it
- Use your power to make the choice to get through your adversity
- “That which does not kill you makes you stronger”, you can come through adversity stronger and better
It is hard to sum up the show because there were so many great examples and inspiring stories, it really is a must listen to show.
